When you create a VaultQuiz account, we collect:

• Email address (for authentication and account recovery)
• Username and display name (chosen by you)
• Quiz scores, streaks, and achievement data
• Profile information you choose to add (avatar, bio)

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We do not access your Google contacts, files, or other data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the VaultQuiz platform
• To track your quiz progress, XP, streaks, and achievements
• To display leaderboards and public profiles
• To send daily challenge reminders and newsletters (if you opt in)
• To improve our quizzes and user experience

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication sessions. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use VaultQuiz. GA4 collects anonymised usage data such as page views and quiz completions. You can opt out by using a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-out.

5. Public Information

Your username, display name, avatar, bio, quiz scores, and leaderboard rankings are publicly visible on your profile page. Your email address is never shown publicly.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Update or correct your profile information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Unsubscribe from emails at any time

7. Children

VaultQuiz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of VaultQuiz after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
